We are pleased to announce that the Lee-Way team will be expanding - Chad Edmonson has agreed to join the firm effective May 2015. Prior to joining the firm, Chad was a Managing Director at W. P. Carey Inc., a New York City based investment firm with approximately $20 billion in assets. Notable investments for Chad while he was at W. P. Carey include leading the $230 million acquisition of 500 and 601 Jefferson Street in downtown Houston, TX. These two skyscrapers total over 1.5 million square feet and are predominantly leased to KBR. Formerly known as Kellogg, Brown, and Root, KBR is a global technology, engineering, procurement and construction company serving the hydrocarbons and government services industries. In addition, Chad led a $42 million investment to help build out Belk's e-commerce logistics business in Jonesville, SC. Founded more than 125 years ago, today Belk's is the nation's largest family-owned-and-operated department store company, with 299 stores in 16 states offering Belk's signature "Modern. Southern. Style." Chad is extremely excited about moving back to Hattiesburg with his wife, Catherine, and their two children, Jackson and Mary Catherine.
